Quick answer
Of the three, ado has the only SPF 50+ sunscreen with zinc oxide as its only UV filter (100 mL) and the only range that runs to 17; its Tween's Kit is ₹2,699. Tikitoro (Kids 4–10, Teens 11–16) sells SPF 30 PA+++ zinc oxide sunscreens. Tuco Kids (3–15) sells SPF 50 and 30 sunscreens listing organic filters.
Of the three brands, ado is the one with an SPF 50+ sunscreen whose only UV filter is zinc oxide, in a 100 mL tube, and one routine for every age from 7 to 17. Tikitoro sells Kids (4–10) and Teens (11–16) ranges with SPF 30 PA+++ zinc oxide sunscreens, and Tuco Kids sells one range for ages 3–15 with SPF 50 and SPF 30 sunscreens.
ado is an Indian skincare brand made for kids, tweens and teens aged 7–17: a gentle oat face wash, a daily moisturiser and a mineral zinc oxide SPF 50+ sunscreen. Below: why parents choose ado, what's in each tube, and short, factual notes on what Tikitoro and Tuco Kids make.

Why do parents choose ado over Tikitoro and Tuco Kids?
Against both brands, ado's differences are in the sunscreen, the tube sizes and the age range. Each point below comes from our labels and the other brands' own product pages.
- The only SPF 50+ zinc-oxide-only sunscreen of the three. ado's sunscreen lists zinc oxide as its only UV filter. Tikitoro's sunscreens also use zinc oxide alone, at SPF 30. Tuco Kids' SPF 50 sunscreens list organic filters: its 2-in-1 alongside zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, its gel on their own. For children, India's sunscreen consensus, PRISM-ISF (2025), says "a sunscreen containing inorganic filters, like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, is preferred over any other sunscreen", and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) suggests a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ mineral sunscreen for tweens and teens.
- More room for error. SPF 30 meets the SPF 30 or higher that the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) suggests, so it is not unsafe. But PRISM-ISF says "SPF protection is directly linked to the quantity applied", and that most people apply 0.5–1.5 mg/cm² instead of the 2 mg/cm² regulators recommend. A higher SPF leaves more margin when a child applies too little; our guide to SPF 30 vs SPF 50 for kids explains more.
- The biggest face-sunscreen tube. ado's is 100 mL, against 75 ml for Tikitoro's and 50 g or 30 g for Tuco Kids' face sunscreens (the units differ slightly). With daily use and reapplying at school, that means fewer re-buys.
- Twice the moisturiser per tube. ado's Daily Moisturiser is 100 mL; Tikitoro's Hydrating Face Creams and Tuco Kids' Oat & Rice Water Face Gel are 50 g each.
- One range that reaches 17. Tikitoro Teens stops at 16 and Tuco Kids at 15. With ado, a 9-year-old and a 16-year-old can share the same three tubes. Our hubs for tweens (10–12) and teens (13–17) go age by age.
- Oat in every step. The face wash has oat kernel extract. The moisturiser and sunscreen have oat kernel flour (colloidal oatmeal), which helps soothe.
What's in the ado routine?
The ado routine is three steps, each in a 100 mL tube: cleanse, hydrate, protect. Your child uses all three in the morning and the first two at night.
- Step 1: the Gentle Oat Face Wash (₹849). A gel cleanser with coconut-derived cleansers and oat kernel extract. It's sulfate-free, dye-free and non-comedogenic (formulated not to clog pores), with a soft, non-stripping lather.
- Step 2: the Daily Moisturiser (₹949). A lightweight gel-cream with glycerin, squalane and oat kernel flour (colloidal oatmeal). It's pH balanced, non-greasy and helps support the skin barrier.
- Step 3: the Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+ (₹1,499). Zinc oxide is its only UV filter, in a lightweight base. It's non-comedogenic and goes on last, 15 minutes before heading out.
For a school day: all three before the bus, then face wash and moisturiser after tuition or evening practice. The Tween's Kit has all three for ₹2,699, which is ₹598 less than buying them one by one (₹3,297). The same steps work from 7 to 17, so younger and older children in one home can share a kit.
How do you use ado's sunscreen for school and sport?
Use a generous layer as the last morning step and reapply at least every 2 hours, and straight after swimming, sweating or towel drying. The label makes no water-resistance claim, so plan to reapply through PE, matches and swimming class.
Apply it 15 minutes before the bus stop or morning assembly. Dot it on the forehead, cheeks and nose, then blend outwards. A second layer at lunch, or before an afternoon cricket or football game, keeps protection going. The AAP advises the same for any sunscreen: reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or drying off with a towel.
The label says broad spectrum (UVA/UVB). No PA rating is stated; PA is a UVA grade, linked to tanning, that some brands print on the tube. The finish is lightweight and non-greasy. Our sunscreen guide for Indian parents covers how much to use, and our guide to mineral vs chemical sunscreen for kids explains how filters differ.
What does ado leave out, and what does it list?
ado leaves out parabens and phthalates in every product, and sulfates and dyes in the face wash. It also leaves out adult actives: there are no retinoids, exfoliating acids or vitamin C serums in the range.
The AAD says it's important to first consult a board-certified dermatologist before a tween or teen uses a retinoid or salicylic acid, so ado keeps to everyday basics. For regular breakouts, a dermatologist is the right first stop; our guide to pimples at 13 explains what helps.
What ado does contain is listed in full on every product page, and our ingredients page explains each ingredient. ado's products contain fragrance (it's the last ingredient on each label); if your child's skin is sensitive, patch-test first or choose a fragrance-free option. ado is made in India in a GMP- and ISO-certified facility, is cruelty-free, and delivers free across India.

- Tuco Kids. Tuco Kids makes face, sun and body care for ages 3–15, including an Oat & Rice Water Face Gel at ₹260 for 50 g. None of the three states a PA rating.
